A Step A-Head Engine & Machine operates as the only fully capable diesel engine shop on the north end of Vancouver Island. We rebuild our own cylinder heads, connecting rods, and crankshafts, in addition to performing cylinder block repairs and engine balancing. Our capacities cover a wide array of activities including line boring main journals, boring oversize cylinders, sleeving cylinder bores, and counter bore repairs. As one of the only shops on Vancouver Island or in British Columbia with these capabilities we can also deck cylinder blocks as large as K19 Cummins.
