A Step A-Head Engine & Machine Shop Inside

Our Story

As a business, A Step A-Head Engine & Machine started out in 2007 by machining and rebuilding cylinder heads. Over a short few years, we grew toward undertaking complete engine machining, overhauling, and travelling for on-site service repairs. In 2014, further transition took place and A Step A-Head moved to a location at 383 Pioneer Hill Drive in downtown Port McNeill where we began engine rebuilding and service as well as industrial parts sales.

As we progressed over time a larger facility became necessary. In 2022 we built and moved into our current state of the art 6000 square foot facility on 5 acres at 1732 Twin Peaks Road, Port McNeill. Here, we have expanded into maintenance, inspections, and repairs for trucks and other commercial vehicles. Since this move, we have gained recognition as a Designated Inspection Facility for commercial vehicles in British Columbia as of May 2023.
